 Key match points:

  • Match played at high tempo. SRBFC awarded a penalty in 15th minute when Alfonso Fraser was fouled in the box. Penalty converted by Moosa stellenboom.

Half-time score: Knysna Bafana 0 – 1 SRBFC

  •  Second half SRBFC created two clear cut oppprtunities when Terrance Boqwana and Moosa Stellenboom squandered golden opportunities to stretch the lead. Knysna Bafana were awarded a free kick in the 55th minute. When the free kick was taken the referee awarded a dubious penalty after ruling that Aphiwe Sopali handled the ball wen clearly the ball was kicked against his hand. Lyle Peters converted from the spot.
  • The match took a twist 5 minutes later wen the referee gave Aphiwe Sopali a straight red for a dangerous tackle. SRBFC was now down to ten players.
  • On the 70th minute SRBFC player Anees Triegaardt was seriously injured when he was tackled late by a Knysna Bafana player. The match was delayed for at least 8min.
  •  Knysna Bafana was reduced to 10 players after Ronnie Sosolo received a second yellow card for a clumsy tackle on Charlton April. Things turned out even worse for Knysna Bafana when their Goalkeeper was red carded after taking out Laryo Mamba (professional foul) in the penalty area in the 80th min.
  • Moosa Stellenboom stepped up and calmly converted from the penalty spot to give SRBFC a 2 – 1 lead.
  •  SRBFC were awarded their 3rd penalty on the 90th minute. Unfortunately Moosa Stellenboom could not score a hat trick of penalties when the substitute Gk of Knysna Bafana saved from the spot.
